I was wondering how often you should fog your hives with fgmo for it to be effective?

And does it matter if honey supers are on?

Hi Sourwood, I usually fog once a week. As far as the supers being on,the Dr. says it is ok. What I do Sourwood, is I go by the way the Dr. has tested and instructed to do the FGMO or FGMO/THYMOL fogging method. If you have any questions write the GOOD Dr. Take care JJ

Sourwood most important thing is to keep checking your mite drops you then know how often to treat.Dont let your hives get overtaken with mites, then sometimes its to late. Take care JJ

I fog weekly with FGMO/Thymol mix using the Dr's recipe with the suppers on.

Hi, well it looks like this thread on the benefits of FGMO will continue for quite a while.
I am strictly a hobbyist, enjoying the challenges and so far I have been using food grade mineral oil in a Brugess fogger. I am also using screened bottom boards, slatted boards and the hives are sitting on singel 4" diameter pipe stands 18" high. Of course, I realize that this is not feasible for a commercial operation. However, the hobby beekeeper does contribute to the overall picture and my experience says that the FGMO does keep the varroa menace in check. I am quite aware that it cannot eradicate this pest, but on reflection, neither can any other method presently being used. There is no doubt that Dr. Rodriguez has contributed a huge step in the right direction and he has my thanks.
