Just wanted to let all you losers know It's Jan. 04 and my Henry Fields Catalog came today. I'm pretty sure they sent mine a week before everyone elses. (I am highly suspicious that they are the same company as Gurney's though as my customer account number is same.) TIME TO DREAM!!!!
(if you want to borrow it I'm making a list on my website when I'm done, you'll have to handwrite your order, 1st. come, 1st. serve)

So far, we have received "Cooks Garden",
"White Flower Farm", "R.H. Shumways",
"Henry Fields", "Gurney's", "Johnny's
Selected Seeds", and "Territorial Seeds.
We got a few before Christmas, as several
seed and plant companies woke up and
realized that seeds and plants (or the
assurance of plants to be delivered later)
make nice Christmas gifts.

Recieved Gurney's today. I have not recieved the other ones yet, but I normally do. I think the "special edition" copies take a little longer to get in the mail, compared to the regular stuff you all must be getting. ;)
One of my favorite for trees is the "Musser Forest Products" from near Indiana Pennsylvania.
I also order some stuff from the Arbor Day Society".
The York county Ag Department also has a tree seedling sale. And the State Ag and/or Conservation office has a seedling and seed cover sale in the spring.
I have actually recieved more the past few years in the way of seedlings from other beekeepers. No shipping, and they are free.

Yeah, for "special" customers like Bjorn,
they need to include the reminder that
for sod, it must be laid GREEN SIDE UP. smile.gif

I got Lowries'which is the biggest carnivorous plant seed list, which is from Australia, and the Cactus and Succulent Society of America's seed list. Funny what a seed list can do to a grown man.

Got me good there. How could I possible come back and respond to that....
I'll think of something after clearing my thought's of the fischer family sitting around exchanging gifts of 99 cent seed packets for Christmas. ;) I guess they got tired of all those "Bee quick" bottles as gifts....

Shumway's gets my vote for best style.
Johnny's -- most informative.
Willhite -- best melons.
Ronniger's -- best spuds.
Baker Creek and Seeds of Change -- best of the lesser known varieties.

Don't laugh Bjorn - my wife gave me a key lime
tree for Christmas. It will come as soon
as things warm up. We have quite a nice
collection of dwarf citrus, and this summer
I can make key lime pie with my own limes.

Don't forget WEED. I know it's part of WORK but it's a special four-letter-word for me!

I got my Henry's Field catalog last week, Joel, your's was sloooowwwww getting there. I think your right about Gureneys and Henry Fields being the same company. I didn't think to look at account numbers though. Got one of my seed orders in already, and got one pending. Can't wait till spring ;) .

Heretic. You tempt fate by making or eating Key Lime pie outside of the actual Keys. I think your pennance should be taking yer family down to Key West in February.

Show off.
hey call me, (or E-mail) we need to talk!

I also suspect H.Fields and Gurneys are the same company. The descriptions and photos are exactly the same, Strange.
