New foal

My mare, Eileen, had a foal last night at 11:30pm.

A foal goes for between $10,000 and $20,000. A mare goes for between $25,000 and $60,000.

Friesians are originally from Friesland. Mine were imported from a part of Germany that used to be part of Friesland.

Nice foal Michael,
Now just how much would you have to have to breed one of your mares to a nice standard gaited jack for me? I know a fella that has just such a mule, where he found it I do not know. My guess is that someone had a "companion" donkey in the wrong place at the wrong time and the wrong state of mind. I don't think any freisian owners would do it on purpose! Makes a real nice mule though.

I'd bet it would make an awsome mule. The problem is the FHANA/FPS registry won't allow any crossbreeds with anything except an APPROVED friesian stallion. Since I can get 10K for a foal it's doubtful I could every make that raising mules.

Not much of a horse person myself although I seem to have collected quite a few friends who are. There is nothing quite so adorable as watching a new fowl gains it feet for the first. You got a beauty there Michael.

I have a good looking Stud, he probabbly doesn't have the pedigree yours did, but my mine is still pretty eye catching ;) He stands 15.1 and my stud fees arent that high :D

Please, dont fret about the skinny draft, although she does look horrid !!!! I just got her on Sunday from a horse dealer who got her at an auction on Friday. She has already been wormed and being very slowly started on grain.

I know practically nothing about horses, but somewhere in the back of my mind I have this recollection that mules are sterile. Is this not always the case?

Like I say, I know nothing about such things, I just found the subject to be interesting.
