THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!! A place that I can discuss my two favorite things to do, beekeeping and hunting!!!!! We are now well into our secong week of rifle season for whitetail. The weather could be a little dryer and colder but I bought a new muzzle loader and climbing tree stand this fall so I'm not complaining. I'm sure I'll get the cold weather in December. How's the shooting down there in TX Jim?

We just got into small gamne season. Deer season, for rifles, isn't until after Thanksgiving. Did see a 6 point buck on Saturday, while rabbit hunting with my son, and me beagle...
Nothing like being in tree stand chewing on a honey stick on a winters day! By the way a little bit of burr comb makes a nice coon set on the trap line.(or around the hives for skunks)

Getting ready for high power rifle deer season here in Kansas December 4th for 12 glorious days! Just finished two more batches of jerky tonight, gotta clean out that freezer to make room for the new deer meat, no hunt is complete without fresh jerky. I had great results using honey in my favorite recepies! Hot and spicy meat candy!
I need to know if anyone knows of an online site that publishes cooking recepies using honey. My family is requesting I bring something, (as well as my jerky) made with honey. I do ice cream during the summer, I need ideas for the holidays. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks for the bateing ideas for the skunks and opussoms, some critters need killin' http://www.beesource.com/ubb/mad.gif But not those cute little squirls...
