I put a frame of eggs and brood into a Queenless hive from a excellent queen. The trouble is they were on Wax Coated Plastic, now I have Queen cells across the frame. I could use several of them for other nucs. Need to leave a couple in the queenless hive.
The question is Has anyone removed Queen cells from the wax coated plastic ? Maybe with a Razor blade or cut the plastic into small sections?
Thanks Jerry

Not successfully. I just use each frame as is.

I wonder if this would work,

You could try to put press in cages on 14 day capped queen cells and let them emerge in the press in cage. But then you have to introduce the virgin queen into mating nucs which is less successful (i've been told).

I have done it. It's a little tough, but it does cut. I don't try to get too precise. Maybe two or three from a frame. I also cut out cells from wired frames. I just cut through the wire. The bees will patch up the empty holes too.
