any tips on making candling easier to see which cells will make it??

the queen should emerge on day 16 which is this Thursday. Can they be candled on Tuesday???

the idea is to hold the ripe cell up (maybe 2 inchs away) to a 50 watt bulb just to make sure that you have a viable soon to emerge adult queen inside. and yes day 14 (graft + 9 days ?) would be within the right time frame . it is a practice which is routinely used by folks that commercially raise queen cell in large number and simply provides a slight edge in producing a quality product.
