I was wondering what the diameter of a queencell is where it attatches to the place it is attatched to?

and what is the average length?

thank you

Inside? Outside? The inside diameter where it attaches is often the base of a worker cell which then flairs to about 5/16" (inside) at the mouth where it's the widest and then down to a point on the end. The length varies dramatically. I've seen some several inches long. Some are as short as 3/4" long. Most are about the size of a peanut.

The OUTSIDE diameter where it attaches can be much bigger with much "knurling" and reinforcment. The wax is not smooth at all. The amount of reinforcement varies greatly also.
