Does any one out there know how antibiotics affect queen cell development? It seems that I have heard somewhere that some antibiotics can affect drone fertility and was wondering if there is any data to support that notion and if there was any affect on queens? Proper dosages and proper antibiotic seem to not alter the developmental pathway for the workers, so I am wondering if this would be true for queens. I know in some situations it may depend on the timing of the application, i.e. in humans some antibiotics cannot be used during certain stages of pregnancy.
