Plastic foundation and queen rearing

I'm thinking about producing some of my own queens using the "Hopkins" method. All of my frames have plastic foundation of one type or another. Is it possible to grow cells using this method and cut them off the plastic or am I better off getting some wax foundation drawn for this purpose?

You can't cut them off of the plastic. You'll need some unwired wax if you want to be able to cut the cells out.
