If a queen stings you, does she die as a worker would after stinging you?

A queen does not die when she stings. Her stinger is not barbed like a worker and is not torn out of her body.

I've handled a lot of queens and never been stung by one. I've had them act like they were trying to sting me. I have heard (rarely) of someone saying they've been stung by a queen. Like Magnet-man says, her stinger isn't barbed like a workers so, in theory, she can sting multiple times.
