View Full Version : Plastic cell cups
Has anybody tried reusing the JZBZ plastic cell cups? I know most sellers recommend no reuse, of course. How long can they be left in for “polishing” before it could be considered reuse?

I dip the Jenter ones in boiling water quickly (too long and they will warp) and then I dip them in clean white beeswax and shake them off and dump them on some cardboard. This seems to work fine. I made a little basket out of #8 hardware cloth to dip them with.

Hi JBJ,
I've reused them hundreds of times. The older cups had a glossy finish. The newer ones have a duller finish which is suppose to improve acceptance. I give all of them a very thin coating of clean beeswax before I use them.
To coat them, use a strainer and a pan with hot, molten beeswax. Put a handful of cups in the strainer and swirl them in the hot wax. Remove them from the wax and continue swirling them until any excess wax is drained and they can are cool enough to be removed.
JZBZ cups can be boiled, to clean them, without any harm.
