Queen not laying

HI, would anyone know how long it takes a queen to start laying after she has been mated, I have a nuc that I started, the queen emerged but we have'nt had very good weather for about two weeks now,maybe 3-4 days of sunshine in that time. Is there a time when the queen, if she is not mated that she will not be any good.I looked in today and she just seems to be wandering around on empty frames.I will requeen if I haveto.anyone have any ideas.

Queens will mate about five days after emerging. sometimes it takes another week or ten days before they start laying.

Thanks for the reply,I will keep an eye on her .I am realy hoping that the carniolan and italian cross will work out for the good.
