what is the vineger treatment? how is it done (how often, when etc.)?

Hi Buford,
I think it refers to a method that involves vaporizing vinegar and then blowing it through the hive. A company known for its wax melter developed a machine for this purpose. I just can't remember the companies name and couldn't locate it in the latest bee mags. I must be getting a premature case of old-timers. :>)
