Has anyone tried using duct tape to seal stored equipment against wax moths? Would it work (assuming that you first freeze the frames to kill any eggs/ larvae)?

It will help to keep them from laying more eggs in the supers. Nothing seems to be moth proof when you consider how small a lesser wax moth is.

There are a couple of things that will work to seal off stored equipment if you so desire.
If you stack your equipment you can paint the crack where the supers meet. You can also use shrink wrap and wrap the entire stack to prevent wax moth entry.

I put my empty supers of drawn comb in a freezer for 24 hours, then store them inside of 55 gal. drum liners, well sealed. I can fit 2 medium supers in one liner. The freezing kills any wax moths or eggs in the supers, the drum liner keeps moths from getting in to lay eggs. It worked for me, but then, I only have 2 hives, so freezer part is not a big deal. Remember, you have to deal with the moth eggs that are already in the supers before you store them.

I am the lucky one. I am the comptroller for a refrigerated trucking company and we have a subzero warehouse. smile.gif
