I have about a dozen hives three of which are suffering from pretty high numbers of verroa and ill effects associated with the mite.
I had been fogging with FGMO with Thymol, menthol and camphor but stopped as the honey flow began to not ruin the honey. I Had considered the cord method but can'tfind the instructions when I search the site.
Is there any effective method of mite erradication that can be used during honey flow?

pull supers. Use Sucrocide. replace supers.
I would instead pull the supers and try to solve the varroa problem if your flow is very long.
Could be the hive is over threshold now so you could simply wait and pull supers. Test to determine varroa load and then decide on a course of action.
Your other hives (especially if italians) are going to rob those three out as soon as the honey flow stops. Reduce their entrances. Also air lift those varroa back to their hives which is quite a site to see.
The lesson here is your chosen method of varroa control failed. Either your timing was off or the control simply did not work. Back to the drawing board.

Could try powdered sugar.Do three treatments 7-10 days apart, it would knock the level of the mites down, and won't hurt the honey.

a friend of mine uses soy flour and garlic powder mixed. It works great for him.

In addition to peggjam's suggestion I'd take the cappings scratcher to all the drone brood. That's where you should find a lot of capped mites.

Just remember whatever you do there are still more varroa in the cells, so you will have to repeat several times a week or so apart to do much good, no matter what it is you decide to do.
