Seen the ad in Dadant catalog,For the ones of you that don't get the catalog. It say's.<A safe product for the beekeeper & the honey bees.non toxic. It kills the mites on the bees but doesn't hurt the bees>.Here's the catch,Bees must be COMPLETELY wetted to kill the mite.must come in contact with the mites to kill them.Apply at the first siting of varroa mites to kill them.repeat 7-10 days up to 3 times.I was wondering if any of you has used this stuff?>>>>Mark

I used it this summer on 2 colonies. Worked good. I bought it mainly to have as a back-up treatment. It is time consuming to use.

I use it, but I wouldn't consider myself as a good test of its effectiveness. I used it in the spring - only once per hive. No further treatments where used in the summer, with the exception of FGMO which I applied only twice. I do run SBB and monitor mite drops. My mite counts have been pretty low and my colonies all appear healthy. Since my brood rearing has nearly ended, I decided to apply Sucrocide again this past weekend. I thought it would be a good chance to knock down any mites that might still be present.
Not sure that anyone can draw meaningful conclusions from my experience with Sucrocide, because I cannot say for sure that my low mite counts are truly a result from the spring treatment.
I wish I could be more helpful.
