I am going to mist all of my hives with a mixture of leftovers from yesterday's service of my tractor. I will then visit a local cave and hippie organic farm. From that trip I will mix a cream of bat guano and lavender leaves and slide that into the hive on an electrically charged stainless steel pie pan. I am hoping that this will cure my mite problems.

It might work. I have extensively tested several automotive products for the control of varroa. Used brake fluid works very well when the hive is misted. Misting once usually solves the problem for the life of the hive. In rare circumstances a second misting is requried. The only down side is that you can't use it with honey supers on. (It also seems to have the side effect of killing the bees too, but the varroa are quite dead!)

Well, I got as far as the bat cave and Hippy Organic Herb Farm. Collecting the bat guano was a bit stinky, but I got enough to also fertilize my wife's orchids.
The guys at the herb farm were at first not very friendly, for some reason they all were carrying guns. They said they were in the middle of harvest season and recomended that the product they were packing would surely kill mites if they were smoked with it. They called it ganja, which I thought would go well with guano. If it works I will call it the Guano/Ganja Treatment. It was quite expensive though. I will fill a smoker tomorrow and give it a try.

Our Shasta County sheriffs had a shootout recently with some folks who were growing a big plantation of 'mite treating herbs'.2 growers were killed and several others escaped, probably heading back to Mexico.

OdFrank, I theorize that the reason we have an epidemic of mites is because we've destroyed all their fall cannabis resin they need to overwinter.
True!
