I have a large amount of high fructose corn syrup that has crystalized / solidified. What is the best way to re-liquify it?
Thanks,
Jason

I bought syrup this spring the hardened up on me within weeks - here's how I dealt with it. The syrup was in 5 gallon heavy plastic jugs. I took one of those green "muck buckets" that I had in the garage - put the syrup container in it - filled it with water - and used an immersion heater (http://www.mannlakeltd.com/catalog/page82.html) to warm the water. Took 4+ hours to reliquify each 5 gallon jug. But it worked!
Good luck!

I add 10% water to HFCS 55 right away and this lessens the crystalization issue. I your case I would add the 10% now and heat to re-liquify.
