Okay, I searched the archives and can't find it...

Where do I buy lemongrass oil? I have checked at a local place that sells all kinds of herbs and whatnot, but they don't have it. Also, What do i look for? online I found it, but some of it has other stuff added. What do I need? I want to use it as an attractant.

Thanks.

See if any of those sites have what you are looking for.

Another site for essential oils is GloryBee Foods (http://www.glorybee.com/glorybee/Index.html). I have never ordered form them but I have heard that if you mention your a beekeeper you'll get some sort of discount. I know they have the lemongrass oil cause I was looking at it myself but never did order any.

Let us know what you eventually get.

Hi George,

I live in Buda, just outside of Austin, and would be interested in trying that bee balm here as well. I would gladly send an envelope if you will send the seed. Has the drought hurt the honey plants down that way? It sure has here, and I am wondering if we will get any production at all this year since all we normally make honey from is wildflowers and sometimes mesquite. Thanks,

You checked the archives? See anything about hippie chicks or oriental shops? Giant carrots? I had a similar quest, and eventually found satisfaction from some local hippie chicks in a goth-type herb shop for men who polish their nails.

Bee balm is another plant that smells a lot like nasanov.

Bee balm is good for attracting certain types of pollinators. Its favored by hummingbird watchers and often co-cultured with tomatos to insure ample pollination. A closely related plate called Oswego tea was once a popular beverage among native Americans in the Northeast (I'm going to take a stab at this and guess that it was the Oswego).

I guess it is different in California. My local grocery store carries lemongrass oil!
