As a result of retirering totaly from beekeeping and the fortcoming christmas I want to give a free registration to beekeepers that want to try or have downloaded my software already :

Free Software
260984025

This is a full registration, please have fun

Please remember!

using the translation manager you are able to change every bit in the software. Only fields that should not be changed is the calculated fields for Swarming, defendness, seekness, steadyness. Those in conjunction with Honey harvest is used for calculating an index, so that it will be possible to choose among queens even if placed in different apiaries. I see no reason for changing the queen time table.

Please be aware of:

the registration will not work on further versions. I will by a new handheld compiler that will allow to interfere with Google maps so that you can place a location in handheld software and then let google maps lead you to the location. I will see if I can set aside this huge amount of money, but that also means that the registration will chnge and price go about 25% up. But untill 1st of January the registration will work, and already entered registrations will not expire. Just please do not expect support for the free soft! If you do not have a fast modem I will still mail out the CD for the price of 10 Euro etwa 13 USD.

Thanks Jorn,
That is some kindness not shown much these days. I have had the software on my puter for about 1 1/2 years. It is a very good program although more detailed then what I need. I also downloaded your other program.

Thanks again for doing this for your fellow beekeepers.

For those interested url is : Http://apimo.dk/programs/beekeping_hivenote.exe and the free registation will work for this and prior versions and will not expire. Remeber this software has been on the Road since 1986 and has been supported by a bounch of Danish and other contries beekeeper fellows. So it is not a joke but a real windows computer tool for beekeeping. Even if it looks like an overkill why not use the needed facilities and let the rest be until you need those. Like you would do in a software like Photoshop.

Would you happen to have a file with instructions on how to get started. I'm having trouble figuring out where to begin.

This seems to be very complex software and a short version of "Beekeeping Software for Dummies" would be great for technically challenged individuals as myself. smile.gif

I'm just a hobbyist, so I would only need the basics, and then could build from there.

Thanks.

I was just poking around on the page haven't downloaded yet because I have dial-up. Saw an English manual at the bottom of this page. This may be what you are looking for?

I am willing to write a cd with my software and other usefull beekeeipng stuff and mail it to those that will support me with 12.20 USD

Cd contains the beekeeping dictionary in 20 languages, the beekeeping software, the pollendata software, some recipies, some beekeeping vidios, the danish Varroa report, the Nordic beekeeping pdf and other stuff. You visit the register page and use the CD registering facility. The full free registring will continue to those that download from this board. Http://apimo.dk/programs/beekeping_hivenote.exe

This will asure you are getting the free soft. I will later place a not free soft on my board, but the archive will get another name.

This will be my last mail about this software.

For those that downloaded Jorn's free software. Does it have to be registered? If so how? Tried several different approches through the software and the web page. I have used the code from the post above:

Free Software
260984025

but do not know the exact name to use.
Am I way off base?

Thanks

When You have the mainscreen with the bee playing the keyboard click the "Register" menuitem and choose the item "Enter Your Registration number..." It will show the register form on which you enter the information.

Well, I certainly feel pretty silly asking this question but I've looked as deep as I can so here goes: I want to delete one of the hives in my database but simply can't figure out how to do it. Can someone shed some light on this for me?

BTW, Jorn this seems like a great program and I'm looking forward to learning more. I've only been using it for a few days and I'm still pretty much in the confusion stage.

Int upper left corner of the entryscreen you will finda maintain menu item which drops down a list of possibilities. here you can move hives, add hives and delete hives and much more.

Just take it easy, there is a learning curve to every software :-)

Oops, I was wrong. I thought I was trying to delete a hive. As it turnes out, I'm having a problem figuring out how to delete an entire Beeyard. After learning a bit more, it's seems that I've created a Beeyard that I don't want.

If you have created a beeyard with a wrong name and you want to keep the hives then just move the hives into the beeyard you want to keep. the wrong beeyard wil then be deleted. Otherwise just delete all hives in the beeyard. Then the beeyard name will be deleted.

when you install Bidata you wil find the documentation to the software in the following directory if you have used the common install dir :

C:\XXXXXX\Apimo Biavl\Bidata Win95-98\Manuals

XXXXXX stands for your program direktory.

the manual is translated into twelve languages,so you could be lucky to find one you could read and understand. the software itself is translated into 22 languages that you can chooce among using the tools/language tools.

I am not auto watching treeads so barewith me if I am not answering questions.

Best regards Jorn Johanesson
