One of the civilian contractors working on the vehicle barrier installation project outside of San Luis wants to get a colony or two for his son as a 4-H project. I told the contractor that I can provide him with companies where he can get all the equipment, assist on set up, and help with beekeeping.
For those of you in Arizona, from whom do you obtain your packages or nucs. There are a bunch of commercial pollinators down here from San Luis to Yuma including the Indian Reservations, but I don't know any beekeepers to contact to get nucs, packages, or splits.
Any suggestions on where to obatin bees locally including adjacent California? I told him he could always have them shipped by the mail.
Back home in Louisiana, I get my bees from local producers who do not ship by mail.
