I am trying to make comb honey, but have problems with the weight of the bees actually causing the thin foundation to collapse in the super. Does anyone have any remedies for this?

Don't use any foundation. A center guide of some type (wedge of wood, beveled top bar, wax strip, etc) is all they need. The bees will do the rest.

More times than not it's the heat, not the weight of the bees pulling the foundation down.

Are you trying to put a super full of thin foundation in? If that is the case, the bees don't have enough time to attach the foundation at the top of each frame before it collapses. I would highly recommend alternating frames of drawn comb, and frames of thin foundation, not to excede more than four frames of foundation, or better yet, as Ross recommended, put in alternating frames of unfoundation.

As long as it is securly fastened to the top of the frame you should have no problems even when it is extremly hot.
