View Full Version : Queen pictures -- before and after
A couple of pictures of the same queen from the observation hive, the first as a virgin, the second after starting to lay. All three of my recent queens have come out dark and unstriped like this one. They seem to be a little smaller than those big old Italian queens too.

Excellent pictures! Makes me even more aware how important an observation hive can be for education, MINE. IMHO that just made a strong case for the need to see books in action! Thanks! David
