Ross,

I built several feeders like you come up w/. I was wander if you set the feeder directly on the inner cover so the bees can travel streight into the feeder? Or do you wedge it down into the bee box because it fit snug cross way. Seems that ways not to good because then the bees would build in the empty space. Just wandering.

I set mine on the inner cover. My inner covers have a 3" hole, just like the feeder. I haven't had any problem with them getting into the empty hive body. I have had one feeder come unglued around the funnel. It had been bounced around some, and it's just one out of a dozen or so. I haven't looked at it closely yet. I maynot have done a good job of sanding and cleaning prior to glueing. I didnot come loose in use, only in hauling around in the truck.
