HI,
Just curious how many of you have tried this. I use screened inner covers so all I have to do is remove the lid and scrape off some from the edge of the screen and pop it in my mouth. I read somewhere that it is anti-bacterial therefore reduces plaque and cavities.

My bees have never had a cavity. tongue.gif With all the sweets they consume, you would think so! So the proof is in the pudding. (What that means I have no idea)
I have some of the gum made by botanical something or another company from the mid-west. Does not last long and not sure if I would spend the money on it. I have never just ate propolis off the hive, but hey, I'm no redneck raod kill eatin, tobacco chewing, git er done carolina boy..... :D
What can I say....its been raining it seems like months.....

Talk about rain- I saw a flock of ducks today sitting on a surfboard near the beach. Ihave chewed propolis mixed with honeycomb and its not bad. Sort of puts a protective coat in the mouth.

Don't complain to us. We were just luckier at birth than you yankees were. :D
I like propolis, and at 60, still have my teeth.
PS...Once it's on the table, how it died means nothing. tongue.gif

lol you tell em iddee, most all the meat ive eaten was dead. taste same whether killed in the woods or in the road

Some propolis has a nice flavor. Some is bitter. It all tastes different depending on the source. I chew it sometimes.

I love the flavor, especially from spring poplar propalis. It is bitter though and occasionally contains bees knees and so forth.
I have chewed it right from the hive which my wife thinks is nuts.

your wife thinks propolis is a nut? does she think bees also raise nuts in addition to honey and pollen? how did you convince her that you were chewing nuts?
