Just a note on B Weaver - I've ordered from them twice this year. I have some of their All Americans installed in a few hives, I'll know how they perform by next summer. But both times I have had trouble with the date of shipping. While I realize that this business is often dependent on too many factors to pin down things like shipping dates, I always ask that if there is a change to the shipping date to let me know. My work schedule is such that if a batch of queens are shipped late I may lose them due to the fact that I am often out of town for extended periods. The first time the queens were shipped late even though I called on the date and was told they were already in the postal system. You would think I would learn. This week they were supposed to be shipped on Tuesday. When they didn't arrive today (Friday), I called to confirm the shipping date. I was told they were scheduled to be shipped next Tuesday. When I asked why they didn't let me know, as I had asked, I was told that I must have been confused about which Tuesday was the shipping date. I assured her that that wasn't the case because I am very careful about that as next week I won't even be here to receive them. She basically said "Oh well."

I won't be using them anymore. Their queens may be great, I don't know. I can work with suppliers on shipping dates, but only if they communicate with me and tell me the truth when I talk to them. I hate to end on a negative note, so let me tell you about a good experience I had. I ordered queens from a guy named Dana Stahlman in Ohio. I can't comment on his queens as I have only had them for a few months, but he is a friendly person to deal with and I enjoyed doing business with him.

R. Weaver is NOT any better,
when you are ordering they are fine, run in to a problem & they are a*^,
I've said it before if that's the only place I could get bees I'll get out of it.
So I guess it's a family thing to be a smart a*%.
Thank you ikeepbees for letting us know.>>>>MARK

i've been happy with b.weaver's buckfasts and service, but this year they seem to have lost my check and keep billing me for queens i've paid for, they even told me they had computer problems this spring, but i keep getting the bills.

I've dealt with R. Weaver a couple of times and always had a good experience. The queens were great and arrived when expected. All my interactions with them were electronic, however when I had a problem and had to cancel and order they were very kind, prompt and allowed it to be cancelled without any grief at all.

The only queens that I introduced and were not excepted this year were my R. Weaver's. First and last time customer. There are plenty of others.
