Evening observations

I just had to run out to do a quick errand, it was just before sundown, and I stopped down by the hives (I like to go out there and just watch them). It was so neat, they were coming back to the hives in droves, I turned my head and looked up into the still-lit sky and saw them coming back from their travels, zooming in high and fast, then dropping down onto their landing boards, it was wild! I know it's old hat for many of you, but a new fascination for me smile.gif

I do that too Ann. Sometimes when I've been working in the yard, I'll take a break for a while and sit in one of the lawn chairs I have in my apiary for just that purpose, and look out over the hives and the field beyond, and watch the bees coming and going.I hope I never lose that facination.

I like how, when you look up, the bees seem to appear from nowhere.
