The Pennsylvania state beekeepers association's fall meeting and banquet will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10th and 11th.

Dewey Caron (university of delaware, and MAAREC), Ms. Alison Skinner(Ontario Beekeepers Assoc.) and a host of researchers and speakers fill the day. The Banquet is friday night.

Vendors, a honey/bee product competition, and other events are planned.

If you do not get the Pennsylvania's state beekeepers association newsletter, you can contact the state secretary, Yvonne Crimbring at 570-673-8201 for details. I am not sure about the state website, I don't have it handy at the moment.

Many attend just Saturday's meeting in case work conflicts arise. Attend one or both days.

Hope to see you there.

I would love to make the meeting but as usual will be in NY on Sat.

For those who have never been the Country Cupboard is shopping experiance all it's own, add to that a State Beekeeper Meeting, should be a great time.

I plan on attending again, this year. As long as the bees aren't calling from the deep south.

Yuleluder,
I don't have my newsletter handy. But I think registration is from 8:00 till 8:30. But to make sure, come early and have a donut, a cup of coffee, and its always a good time chat with someone before the thing starts. I'll be there by 7:30, or something like that, give or take an hour....

Yuleluder,
I still cant find mine. But if memory serves, it was 15 dollars for one day, 20 for both days. The banquet Friday night is $19 including open buffet and entertainment.

For anyone going this week to the Pa. fall meeting, I will have there to sell,

A hand crank 2 deep/4 shallow frame galvanized extractor on a stand. This unit has baskets that swing so you do not need to removed frames to extract the opposite side. Has a honey gate. The stand is made of metal as is rusty, so it needs a coat of paint. The unit itself is in good shape, just needs cleaned up. The comparable model in Kelley's sells for around $450. plus shipping. Price is $75

Also, a hand crank 9 frame stainless steel radial unit on a stand, with plexiglass top and honey gate. Used one time, bought last year. In perfect condition. Price is $200 (Thats less than half paid new including shipping) Nice!

If anyone is interested that lives close by and would like to see them prior to next Friday's meeting, please contact me. I just want them sold.

It was real nice speaking with some of the beesource members at the Pa. fall meeting, this past Friday and Saturday.

It was also nice to see a new beekeeper walk away with a reversible frame extractor that lists in Kelly's mag for 550 plus shipping, for a mere 50 dollars. I know I bought some great deals at these meetings over the years.

Thanks to all. I know I had a good time.
