I'm sitting on 8 1/2 acres, surrounded on 3 sides by trees. The house sits on a 2 acres lawn and the rest is pretty much grown up in grasses and weeds. I have been mowing it down with a bush hog twice a year but think I can do something with it to keep the bees busy between regulat honey flows. I have limited equipment but would like to plant or get something out there that would be of benefit to the bees and the enviroment.. I live in the Piedmont of North Carolina. Suggestions??????????????

Here are two good online pages that will give you and idea of what you might plant. The second one deals specifically with bee plants for the North Carolina area. It talks about how to set up bee pastures. I hope you find this helpful.
