Which do you think will be completed first?
1. Gene modifiction in honeybees such that they are resistant to v&t mites or
2. Gene modification of plants such that they do not need honeybees for pollination.

I have not seen any work on #2. Is this something that is being actively considered?

#1 is feasible through routine breeding.
#2 is not feasible with current technology.
Your question is a bit inane.

#1 Gene modification in honeybeessucht that they are resistant to mites, followed by gene mutation by mites such that the new bees would not be resistant anymore, or entirely new desease caused by some bug totally inocent now, but which will devastate the new bees, and soon after the non-gene-modified too.

#3 Gene modification for the beekeepers so they are sting resitant and not offensive to bees and don't need beesuits.

Maybe you just need thicker skin, Michael.
Oh, wait, that comment was for Pedro . . .
