So I can't figure out how to use the sundance pollen trap (bottom mount) or how it works. From what I've read the plywood side goes up and then of course the drawer faces up. If I put the front entrance up the bees will be forced to move thru the cones (going thru the small end first to big end of the cone?) but then they should be able to get right into the hive. The board doesn't extend to the cone area. Neither does the drawer.

With the front board down the bees should be able to move right into the hive.

So how does the pollen get in the drawer if the bees never move over the drawer? I'm sure I'm just not seeing this right (or the drawer is built wrong??)

HELP!

The bees go thru the wire mesh on top of the drawer. The wire mesh is under the 1/4 luan that you see on top of the trap. The cones are for them to come out of the hive.
