Are RR comb honey supers too much of a challange for a first year hive, and a first year bee keeper ?

Not too big a challenge for the beekeeper, but most first year hives will not be strong enough to fill RR supers well. If it was started from a big package very early, and you have a late flow, it might have time to build up to RR capabilities.

Thanks, I'm just gonna let the gal's take it easy this first year then, maybe next year for the RR'S. I was wondering though, if it is a strong hive do the bees make the comb honey pretty easily, and is there anything extra I would have to do to get the bees to use the RRs?
