buying new queens

has any one recieved any queens from outside the usa and in what condition did they arive?
thing of odering some to inprove my present hives to breed them here.

I had some friends of mine get some from Hawaii. They were in good condition. Hawaii is still part of the U.S. so this is more for knowing that queens can be shipped from a great distance and come out doing good.
