Has anyone evere gagged on honey? I gave myself the daily squirt of my own bees honey, and a little bit trickled into my windpipe. Man, it tightened shut so quick I couldn't get a breath of air for almost a minute. After much coughing, I'm almost back to normal but it hurts to cough anymore.
This has been an awful experience. I'd rather be stung a dozen times.

Breathe air, eat honey. Repeat. Do not confuse the two.

Anything with that much concentrated sugar in the wrong pipe is going to hurt. Anything that is that sticky is going to stay a while. I've tried, and it wasn't that bad, but enough to make the eyes water.

Yes I have. It's a VERY painful experience. Don't do that. smile.gif
WHen I was a teenager (way back then) I worked at a greenhouse and help tend the bees. We never sold it but the boss gave it away and needless to say with 6 hives we had tons of honey. On a not day, me and my buddy would take an entire quart of honey (We used old tropicana OJ bottles whiich were glass) and drink it, finishing it by days end. One time he did what you did and I I think he was still messed up the next day. It kind of changed the way he looked at honey.
In all those years, I never was stung and always wondered if I was allergic because honey always made my tongue and throat itch. (It turns out I am not, at least not now after chugging gallons of honey)

After drinking a pint of honey in one day, did your parents have to tie you to your bed at night to keep you from floating out of it? I would have been higher than a kite after ingesting so many calories.
