Purchasing bees

Where can one purchase bees this late in the season? I am located in north central Louisiana and I now have a place to locate a hive, but it's too late to buy packaged bees or nucs. I would appreciate any help provided.

Check with your local beekeepers or local bee club and see if someone would sell you a nuc.
