Looks like the swarm season started in Michigan. I missed one in a car dealer lot (good thing they left before I got on the road, bad thing they left since I was about to charge him $200 not negotiable), and I got in to a house just after they made it under the roof. The owner took pictures and it looks like they found a hole by the chimney under the shingle. They were funning on the roof by that hole. I had a swarm trap with me so I strapped that around the chimney with the entrance about 12 inches from the hole, but I donÂ’t have great hopes of getting them out and into the trap. I have an old frame/foundation in the trap and a Q-tip dipped into lemongrass. How can I get them out? There were a few, not many in the attic and quite a few dead in there by the window, and I understand theyÂ’ve been in there before. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Daniel

I assume from the luck of replies that I have no chance of getting the bees out of the roof and into the trap. Or maybe everybodyÂ’s busy chasing swarms?

If they are not in the attic, where are they? Somewhere there is at least a suitcase size area where they have gathered. Where is it? If they are coming in at the roof, are they in the eave, in the boxing of the chimney? Find the bees and maybe we can help.
