How do you attach wax founndation to frames?
The instructions in the books I have, talk about a wire (I understand embeded into the wax) and other wire that you have to cross over the wax "... for better support"
I bought some foundation that have no wires embeded (I did not have choices) and it seems too soft. Do I need to tell you that I am a begginer?
Thanks
Carlos

reply>> What type of foundation are you using?
I use Ritecell from Mann Lake, and it needs no support wires. Durigilt from Dadant is the same. I have used crimped wire foundations, and I used 2 support wires, one on both sides.

Hi,

We all begin somewhere's. You have unwired foundation. You need to buy bee wire that is used to wire frames. The frames is wired with 4 horizontal wires. The foundation is nailed into the wedge cleat by the top bar. The foundation is layed on the wires and then embeded with electric or old fashion embeding tool that look like a pizza cutter with spikes. I will have Barry post some pictures of this so you can see it.

I'll do my best to finish this page up and put text to the pictures.
