After a new queen is installed, how long before she starts laying eggs in an established hive?

I found my answer at the beekeepers meeting. They sometimes might take up to 10-days, they explore the whole hive, and get settled in. I was alarmed after 2-days, and found no eggs.

I have only hived 2 packages. One queen took 3 days, the other took 5.

That is it seems to very some dont get worried for the 10 days.and it may help if you do not disturb the hive for a week.

Another factor is if she hasn't been laying lately (maybe she was in a queen bank where she couldn't) and she has to get "fattened" up before she starts to lay. Still that can happen in as short as a few days.
