View Full Version : Need to order Bees, but from who?
I live in southern MD, I would like local or near local bees. But if not who to order from or do you just order them someone that will ship them to you?

How many are you looking for???? Are you
looking for package bees or Nucs??
If you only need a few to start off with
then hopefully you can find a friendly
neighborhood beekeeper that will sell you
some frames of brood and order some queens
to do your own Nucs.
Worked for me......

You can order from someone who will ship them to you, or you can order from someone who'll take your money and let half the year go by while dodging you before they send you a refund...
References are good. Seemes like Bjorn just got a reference posted. I'll send mine out to Don "the fat bee man" from Dixie Bees.

I will concur with the gentleman from Alabama.

Dixie does not ship bees packages and to far for me to pick them up

But it states that nucs are shipped nation wide...
He does ship. I contacted him (he responds almost immediately) asking about shipment of nucs to Texas. He said that he will begin taking orders in late January of 07. Unless Tecumseh comes through here in Texas (he plans on starting up), that is where I will order my nucs.
