Whats your opinions on the best package bee producers?

I always go for the closest and cheapest. If they arrive in decent shape, I'm happy. Usually your best bet is find a local group that get a truckload of packages together. There is probably someone withing driving distance of you who does this. Try to find a local bee club and ask around.

Once again this coming spring, I'll be driving down to Georgia to bring back packages. If you need packages and do not want to mess with the mail system, contact me at mikeandida@cs.com
I live in the Harrisburg, Pa. area and recieve bees from Wilbanks apiary in Claxton Ga.
I also had an ad in the PA bee association monthly newsletter. And agree that joining/looking into the county and/or state assoc. is a good thing. E-mail me and if you want the information, I can give you the nearest county POC for club info.

I have gotten queens from Wilbanks and liked them. It's too far to ship packages from there to here cheaply.
This is the best way to get packages. From someone who will take care of the bees instead of the USPS, most of whom are terrified of them.

Anyone selling 4.9 bees? I sent a letter off to Bolling Bee but have not heard back about availability. In the 'every little bit helps' category, I"d rather like to start with the smallest bees obtainable in the spring.

I'm planning on selling nucs of natural sized bees (on 4.95mm comb) in the spring to be picked up here (Greenwood, NE). I am discussing shipping packages with some folk, I'll have to find out what I have to do to ship them.
