What do you use to rest your frames on to strip wax, cut comb..etc?
We are still new to this and stripping wax off the sides while it is covered in bees makes us a bit nervous.

Mr. Latta, why are you stripping wax off? When you remove the frame from the box, you brush the bees off of the frame. Or you can "shake" the frame and watch them fall. Only do this over the box cuz you don't want the queen on the ground. You can also search for something called a framerest. They work pretty well if you have it with you.

Still don't understand what you're trying to do.

Sorry, when I said stripping wax, I meant the burr comb that joins frames.

Hey Robert, I'm just a tad south of you. When I scrap the wax off I just set the frame on a corner, and use the hive tool to scrape it off. I'll usually do this on an adjacent hive lid.
