Unwanted Visitors

Well,

I might as well get all the questions out there. I have mold forming in the top of my box. I am using a top feeder right now (week 4), and have cut a slot in the inner board (sorry about wrong vocabulary) to allow for more air flow. No success, and mold continues to form. Thoughts?

Ants. Any concern with ants streaming into the top feeder to share the honey with the bees. Thoughts?

Is the hive sitting in the shade or the sun?

The hive is located in a mostly shady spot. It receives direct morning sun for about 3 hours, then is shaded by nearby trees the rest of the day.

I'd try to get them in the sun and remove the feeder. I bet there's plenty of nectar.
