Hello,
Years ago I took a tour of a Contadina Tomato Sauce plant in California's Central Valley. I was told that at that one plane alone, they process one piggyback trailer, every 2 minutes, 24 hours/day, for 3 months.
Those figures are staggering, but when you think about the tomato sauce section of the grocery store, they never run out...ever! That's a lot of tomatoes.
I was thinking about honey production, wondering just how many gallons, pounds, hives, etc. are produced and/or harvested each year to keep those same shelves stocked year round.
Anyone ever looked into those figures?
