I was send some seeds last year by 2 different beekeepers thanks guys , but none of the seeds I planted came up . then one day i looked and there was something like a squash plant so is this Vitex you can email me at letysjim@yahoo.com

letysjim,young shutes of Vitex and old growth do not look any thing like squash plants. Squash plants have round fat leaves, Vitex have longer skinney leaves. Something like short hemp plant leaves.

It is difficult to germinate Vitex seeds. These seeds have a wax coating and somehow the wax coating has to be destroyed. This can be done with hot water, freezing them in an icecube and planting the ice cube like we do with okra, rubbing the seeds between two layers of sand paper, or an acid treatment for which I have no firther details.
In any case the seeds need a warm and moist seed bed
