One of my new swarm captured hives keeps building burr comb between the same 2 frames and they wont stop...(the space between the frames are the same as the others.) this is the 3rd time in as many weeks I had to cull it out. they keep wasting time and wax here, the last 2 times they were full of new eggs. today I turned one of the frames around (the side without eggs in it). any suggestions on what I might do if this continues. should I leave it, or keep culling it out? all the rest of the frames are being drawin out properly, and the new babies are starting to emerge

Sometimes it helps to turn one of the two frames around. It also helps to push the frames tightly together.
What kind of foundation?
Are the frames pushed tight together?

Give up....in my area every frame is burred tightly together in a few months. Take out an outside comb and work towards the middle. Scrapping it away is useless.

Ok, I did turn 1 of the frames around today. also the frames are pushed together tightly, and the extra space is split between the ends. The foundation is duragult, with no flaws in it, the wax is fine where they keep doing this. If they do it here again, I will leave it. my son counted 59 eggs in the 4 burrs I took off today. I need this hive to grow quickly, not waste time and brood.
