I was stung about 20-30 times the other night and I was wondering if it was normal to feel light headed after being stung a lot? Also how many times do you have to get stung to develop a reduced reaction to the stings?

It's normal to feel something if you've been stung that much... there's another thread going on here about stings and sting resistance that you might find interesting:

I always sleep better after even one sting in the head or face in the evening or at night. It is quite a sedative. Doesn't bother me, I just get a better night's sleep.

A couple of months ago I got over thirty stings during an extraction. Didn't put my suit on in time

I was draggin butt the next day, tired and felt drugged, but the job lasted seven hours and I didn't finish until well after midnight.

I actually asked my doctor about that effect when I had a bout with hay fever. She said that our bodies create antihistamine that causes sleepiness or loopiness (in my case) just like the over the counter stuff in response to allergens. In fact, antihistmines are the main ingredient in the over the counter nightime sleep aids.

You haven't lived until
you've been stung 50 times in 50 seconds.

And when you have been, you don't want to. smile.gif
