How do the Commercial beekeepers,keep the mice out of there drawn honey supers.
I'm not talking about someone with a 1/2 dozen or so.I'm talking a large amount.
Uncovered about 100 shallow super's with drawn comb today & the rats has ruined about 75.I know all the talk about put them in the freezer building special little boxes,But here I'm wondering when you have several hundred,>>>>Mark

Mark, this is what I observed when helping a Commercial beekeepers.
Any holes in the hive of 1/2 inch or more will allow free access to the inside of the hive by mice. Rats can be a problem in storage areas where bee equipment is kept. Bait can be set out for both rats and mice, special traps are also available, and a cat works wonders.
