Dead bees on top of inner cover?

I have a hive that is producing strong, lots of bees, large amount of bees hanging on outside of hive in the evening. In this hive I found about 15 dead bees on the top cover. There were no other bees on the cover even though the super below it was full of bees. They were more aggressive than usual.

What things should I check?

Make sure that the bees have plenty of room and ventilation should help with the bearding. They need the room for evaporating and making honey. If you do not have a top vent make one by putting a spacer such as a popsicle stick on each corner of the top.
