Hi a quick question, i am still feeding even though the girls seem to be making plenty of honey and collecting pollen, i was waitng for them to stop eating the sugar/water mix but they keep eating it and my hive has all new foundation so i thought it would help them draw it out. I also add HBH every time but only just read the whole label and noticed it says not to feed when honey supers are on, does that mean all the honey made so far in not good to eat, and if i stop feeding how long till i can eat at least some of the new honey and what do i do with the honey made thus far. Many thanks John

The bees don't differentiate between storing nectar or sugar syrup. You could have honey supers filled with HBH sugar syrup. If there is a nectar flow, stop feeding if you want to harvest honey. They will draw the comb in a strong nectar flow and hot days. You can pull any supers or frames that you suspect are filled with HBH sugar water and extract that and feed it back to the bees later in the fall.

You can store them in the freezer. Otherwise, wax moths and other pests will consume them for you.
