Looked high and low in "the big city" for fittings that would fit in my barrels that will contain HFCS.
No luck!!! The treads needed are too course.
Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get something I can screw into the barrel and plumb up a ball valve to?
Thanks
Sundance, we use the perfection gates from Dadant. Page 85 in the 2005 catalog or item# M00581 in the online catalog. We transfer honey from drums to totes using the 581 and have had pretty good luck. Don't break anything (on you) horsing those HFCS barrels around!!

Thanks Joel..........
I just discovered my problem..........
One cap is course threaded with a 3/4" threaded knockout for a vent and the OTHER cap has the fine threads!!
Now if I'd only unscrewed the fine threaded one.....

The other thing you can do is use the 3/4 opening for the plumbing and the other one for the vent. That is what we did but we were using the barrels to haul water not a thick syrup. The plumbing pieces are cheaper.

Hillbilly........ I thought about that but 3/4" seems too small for syrup.
Thanks
